CALLING ALL POETS! Local writer and poet Laury A. Egan and the HBAC are pleased to bring two poetry contests to our area.

The contests will accept submissions from adults in Monmouth County and from students at Henry Hudson Regional School in Highlands. Previous poetry experience is not required and all levels are encouraged to submit.

DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 15, 2019

Entries will be restricted to three pages in length, single spaced, and may not exceed three original, unpublished poems. All submissions must be typewritten and include the poet’s name on each page and the poet’s address, email, and phone number on the first sheet.

***** PRIZES *****

First-place poems in both categories will receive $50, and second-place winners will each receive $25. All finalists will be invited to read their poems and will receive critiques from the judges, Laury A. Egan and Beverly Jean Harris.

Winners will be announced on March 24 at the Highlands Community Center.
