Walking with Peace Pilgrim - Lecture by Merry Brennan

  • Bahr's Landing 2 Bay Avenue Highlands, NJ, 07732 United States (map)

Born in Egg Harbor City, NJ, Peace Pilgrim (Mildred Lisette Norman, 1908–1981) was an American mystic and pacifist who walked over 43,000 miles across the US, Canada, and Mexico from 1953 to 1981 to promote peace. Wearing a blue tunic and carrying only a few items, she relied on faith for food and shelter, teaching that inner peace leads to global peace.

On Thursday, March 19th, at 6:30 pm, Belmar resident and author, Mary Brennan, will share her knowledge of Peace Pilgrim, gathered during the writing of her 2013 book, Peace Pilgrim - Walking Her Talk Against Hate.

Don’t miss this lecture that will leave you feeling inspired and peaceful! This event is free to attend, but we will be collecting donations at the event, which help us cover the expense of having the event at Bahr’s and pay our lecturers an honorarium.

Thursday, March 19th, downstairs at Bahr’s Landing from 7-8:30pm. Drinks and food for purchase.
